What Are the Raw Materials for the Production of Matches?

1. The main ingredients of the match head


The match head is an integral part of the match. Its main components are antimony trisulfide, potassium chlorate, manganese dioxide and sulfur, which are important ignition parts for matches.


2. Ingredients of advertising matchsticks


Matchsticks are made of poplar or pine wood. The wood is soft. The front end is fully soaked with paraffin wax and rosin to increase the ignition time of the match.


The paper used to light matches is made of phosphorus (red phosphorus).


3. The burning conditions of advertising matches


There must be a combustion improver (usually oxygen), the temperature of the combustible material reaches the ignition point, and the combustible material is required. As long as one of the three conditions is destroyed, the fire will be quenched. Use a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire. This is based on the principle that carbon dioxide does not support combustion.


The principle of quenching a fire by water is to reduce the temperature of combustible materials below the ignition point.


Using sand to extinguish fires is based on the principle of isolating combustion improver.
